Sports: Russell Westbrook Out For Season

If there was any hope among the Oklahoma City Thunder fans that Russell Westbrook would "pull a Metta World Peace" and return less than two weeks after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, guess we could put that idea to rest. According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the doctors involved opted the repair, instead of removing, which "requires a longer recovery time but also is a better long-term solution" and as a result, Russ will miss the rest of the playoffs. A specific timetable for Westbrook's return is uncertain at the moment. [Watch More]

Videos: Warriors And Pacers Mix It Up On Court
The biggest pushing match of the NBA season thus far took place on Tuesday night between the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The fracas started between Roy Hibbert and David Lee and ended up with almost every player on the court in a tangled mess of pushing and elbowing all the way into the stands. Technical fouls were handed out to Hibbert, Lee, Thompson, David West and Stephen Curry. Roy Hibbert was the only player ejected in the melee for his role in pushing Stephen Curry to the ground during the fight.

Videos: ESPN Presents "Gotta Be The Shoes"
Even as Michael Jordan prepares to celebrate his 50th Birthday, the rarefied heights he reached — both on and off-court — largely remain untouched by his peers and successors. In commemoration of MJ’s legend, ESPN recently honored the greatest player ever with Gotta Be The Shoes, a tribute that asks the essential question “Was it the shoes?” The short feature takes a closer look at the global phenomenon that was — and still is — the Jumpman, from the controversial Air Jordan 1 to the retirement-era Jordan 10 and its highly coveted successors. Above all, “Gotta Be The Shoes!” is an exploration of a man who became a brand and who has managed to remain a cultural icon a decade after his final retirement. Enjoy.

Videos: Dwight Howard Trade Rumors
The Los Angeles Lakers have consistently turned away trade inquiries in recent weeks for All-Star center Dwight Howard and still believe they have a strong chance of signing him to a new contract when Howard becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, according to sources close to the situation. But sources told ESPN this week the Lakers might be forced to reconsider that position between now and the February 21st trade deadline because of Howard's growing unhappiness with his role under coach Mike D'Antoni and the potential that raises for Howard leaving them in July without compensation.

Videos: Tino Sunseri's Incredible Shovel Pass
Pittsburgh quarterback Tino Sunseri isn't going to win the Heisman Trophy this year. Hell, at this point, he'll be lucky if he even wins more than a couple of games. But, he's got one thing going for him: this pass. He made it during last night's blowout loss to Cincinnati and it was pretty incredible. Don't expect a bomb or a Hail Mary when you press play on this clip, though. A simple shovel pass was all Sunseri needed to take over SportsCenter this morning. Good one, dude. Enjoy.
