Berlin music technology staple Native Instruments continues its foray into advanced DJ equipment with its latest Traktor version for iPhone and iPod Touch. While a Traktor version for the iPad debuted in February, users of the smaller touchscreens can now perform their musical endeavors with equal dexterity. With all the same functions seen with Traktor Pro — three band EQ, Traktor effects, NI audio interfaces, touch sensitive GUI emphases via waveform – the latest app, as it seems, is a compressed version of the Traktor software, packing in all the operative elements onto a smaller screen. Allowing DJs of all level to have a hands-on approach at their own musical creativity, the Traktor DJ App is now available at $5 USD from the Apple App Store. Enjoy.
Following months of speculation, Microsoft has officially unveiled the successor to the Xbox 360 – the Xbox One. Now incorporating Kinect right out of the box, the machine features voice control capabilities and gesture recognition technology for navigating its start-up interface, while the machine itself boasts 8GB of RAM, a 500GB on-board hard drive, native 64-bit architecture, HDMI input and output, built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi, an 8-core CPU, and USB 3.0 connectivity. With the New York Knicks out of the playoffs, there are plenty finger pointing to go around. One of the many assumptions why the Knicks didn't advance to the next round belongs to J.R. Smith, who may have let his off-the-field lifestyle conflict with his on-the-court performance. But, here's Jalen Rose to the rescue. In a recent appearance on Grantland, Jalen made a case that certain players, J.R. included, need to go out to the clubs. Sounds ridiculous but why don't you check out the video and hear him out. It may actually make some sense after all. Enjoy.

He posted the viewing times and locations on his KanyeWest.com site and about 100 fans answered the call and gathered on the corner of 14th Street and 10th Avenue in New York City's Meatpacking District as many as 30 minutes before the scheduled 11:45pm showing.
