Videos: Nike Barkley Posite Max “Area 72″
Part of a five-shoe collection themed after the fictitious top-secret facility in Houston, Texas, Area 72, our friends at Hypebeast presents the reiteration of the Nike Barkley Posite Max — a mash-up of the Max2 CB 94 and the Foamposite sneaker. Fans of the recent Galaxy colorways may not be immediately drawn to this bold design as it is in no way subtle in highlighting cues from the depths of space, but being noticed is not always a bad thing. Aiding in the shoe’s visibility are a number of design elements including a 3M-like black upper, custom ‘Area 72′ wrapping newspaper, galaxy lining, large fluorescent Raygun and CB rubber logos, and a 3M flight tag. Nike has also included features to the shoe found in past renditions such as a metallic ‘swoosh’ logo and a speckled glow-in-the-dark sole that reads Not A Role Model. Enjoy.
