Sneakers: Nike Barkley Posite Max “Eggplant”

Building upon the silhouette’s successful debut as a part of this year’s All-Star “Area 72″ collection, the Barkley Posite Max is set to return this weekend in a brand new “Eggplant” colorway inspired by the classic edition of the Foamposite One. Pairing an Eggplant Foamposite upper with black nubuck and mesh across the upper, the kicks feature additional details like a speckled Max Air unit, a glow-in-the-dark outsole, and turquoise accents throughout. What really sets these off, however, is the iridescent sheen applied to the entirety of the Foamposite shell – giving the Barkley-inspired hybrid a pearlescent, color-changing aspect reminiscent of last year’s “Invisibility Cloak” Kobe VII from Nike Basketball. Look for the “Eggplant” Barkley Posite Max to be available from select NSW stockists now for $235 USD.

Sneakers: White Nike Air Foamposite One

Sixteen years after its initial introduction, the Nike Air Foamposite One has maintained a massive amount of popularity thanks to its rugged and futuristic looks, bold colorways, and association with Penny Hardaway. Originally released in 1997 and designed by Nike Basketball‘s Eric Avar with inadvertent inspiration from a molded sunglasses case, the Foamposite One is returning this very month in a brand new white-on-white colorway. Billed as the “cleanest yet,” the White/White-Metallic Silver edition of the late ’90s kicks pairs a tonal upper of white Foamposite, nubuck, and mesh with matching laces, metallic silver branding, a carbon fiber shank, and a translucent rubber outsole. The crisp all-white Nike Air Foamposite One will be available from Nike Sportswear accounts across the globe on March 29th for $220 USD.

Sneakers: Air Jordan 5 Retro “Oreo”

Following a return of the classic White/Fire Red-Black colorway back in January, Jordan Brand is set to release a slew of different Air Jordan 5's in honor of the silhouette’s 23-year anniversary. Possibly the highlight of this year’s crop of retro drops is this Oreo take on the 1990 Jordan signature. Draped in black nubuck with an anthracite tongue and matching laces, the new colorway sees a black and white midsole, an icy rubber outsole, and “23″ embroidery on the lateral side of the upper near the heel. Videos: Google & Adidas "Talking" Shoes
Google and adidas have joined forces on a new sneaker that, thanks to some super slick features, is capable of turning into a smart-talking shoe with a major personality. At the moment, I don’t see a need for something like this. It’s still pretty cool though. Over time, the shoe develops it’s own personality that will respond to your activity. The Talking Shoe can be snarky, motivational and excited depending on your movement that day. Oh, and if you feel like sharing your status with your entire Facebook or Google+ feed, the Bluetooth connection makes it totally possible through your phone— although we're not sure if all of our friends would need to know when our shoe is getting mad at us for skipping a run in favor of laying on the couch. Enjoy.
