Videos: Dancing Lego Michael Jackson
Though we just celebrated the 50th birthday of an “M.J.” named Michael Jordan recently, we can never forget the cultural impact of the other one: the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Sales-record setting music, amazing high-production value music video and of course his signature dance moves are part of his indelible legacy. 2D animator director and comic artist Annette Jung created this animated short as a tribute to Jackson’s elaborate and hard to replicate moves. Her medium? Lego blocks. In the 30 second clip we get a Michael Jackson made from Legos going through an intricate dance routine set to the sounds of M.J. dancing in real-life–grunts, foot sweeping sound and all. Check out the video and marvel at Jung’s handiwork and watch for her spin on his trademark crotch grab at the end.

Video: Rihanna “Where Have You Been”
Rihanna released her newest video for dance hit Where Have You Been, and although it lacks the emotion and storyline of the We Found Love video, the different looks, dance moves and scenery serve up a pretty good video. There are a few different costume changes throughout the video, but there is no love interest. RiRi’s venture into a choreography-heavy video gets an A for effort. She may have looked like a zombie from Michael Jackson’s "Thriller" at times (and sometimes like Beyoncé), and she definitely vogued around her box, but you can tell that she put a lot of effort into making this an entertaining visual for the Talk That Talk record books.

Listen: The Weeknd “Dirty Diana” (Cover)

If staying out of the public eye enables you to drop three significant mixtapes within one year, then a few artists need to take notes from Toronto’s own The Weeknd, who just did that with the release of his newest mixtape Echoes of Silence.
At first listen, the track covers Dirty Diana, the classic Michael Jackson song about a ruthless seductress. The track shows The Weeknd singing the hit well, capturing the essence of the King of Pop with his pitch and intensity.

Video: Beyoncé "I Was Here" (Live at Roseland)
During a live performance of the song I Was Here, Beyoncé shows a video highlighting big moments in her life and includes some quick looks at the wedding dress she wore when she wedded Sean Carter in 2008.
Some other moments include her performing with Michael Jackson, Prince, Tina Turner, not to mention rubbing shoulders with Nelson Mandela and Oprah but somehow my fave spots are her interactions with that husband of hers–such a cute couple, can’t help but hope that it all works out.
