Many car enthusiasts probably haven’t seen the two words, Lamborghini and SUV in close proximity to one another in some time, yet here we are. Dubbed the Urus, Lamborghini has plans to roll out the SUV at the Beijing Motor Show, but preliminary images have already hit the internet. Constructed on top of the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and upcoming Bentley SUV, the major difference is that the Urus is 220 pounds lighter than either of those sporty offerings. Citroën has finally given the world a closer look at the company’s next DS design study. The French automaker is set to introduce the DS line to China this year and will officially show off the Numero 9 Concept at the Beijing Motor Show. Boasting 295 horsepower, the plug-in hybrid expresses radical choices in design with immediately recognizable styling that is both inspired and emotional. Two years after its launch, the DS line – comprised of the Citroën DS3, DS4 and DS5 – has already notched up more than 200,000 sales in a relatively short amount of time. [See More]

Porsche has released preliminary images of the hot off the stove Cayenne GTS – cooked with the same ingredients as the wildly-popular Panamera GTS. Shown in carmine red or peridot metallic, the new Cayenne is a V8 monstrosity with an all-new body kit, sportier interior and a completely redesigned chassis than its predecessor the Cayenne S. The exterior is further tweaked with athletic lower front and rear fascia elements, dynamic side skirts, wheel arch extensions and rear spoiler with fixed bi-plane design, as well as a sport exhaust system and gloss black accents. Based on last year's i8, the new BMW i8 Spyder Concept ($TBA) takes the company's experimental hybrid line to new heights with a two-section folding roof, upward-opening doors, and slightly updated — and improved — looks. Other features include a 131 hp electric motor to drive the front wheels, a 223 hp turbocharged gas three-cylinder powering the rear wheels — a setup that allows for front-wheel, rear-wheel, or all-wheel drive, as well as 78 mpg fuel economy — 50:50 weight distribution, a 0-62 mph sprint of five seconds, a top speed of 155 mph, and copious use of lightweight materials. Did we mention that it also sports two electric scooters under the rear glass panel? Like we said, it's a concept.
Soon Ferrari will discontinue the 599 as it ushers the new F12 Berlinetta into production, but until then the GTO holds its place as king of the hill. So before the ultimate incarnation of the 599 is swept off into retirement, Romeo Ferraris has developed a series of enhancements to the Ferrari flagship.
