From award-winning director Jeff Renfroe comes The Colony, a post-apocalyptic set in a world going through a new ice age. Starring Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton, the film revolves around Colony 7, a band of survivors led by Fishburne, as they try to regain contact with Colony 5 – the only other known group of survivors. What they soon discover is that it’s not just humans who survived the apocalypse, as they try to survive the threat of flesh-eating foes. A month ago, The Strokes unveiled their first official single from their forthcoming album, Comedown Machine, "All The Time." Today, the New York rock collective unleashes the official visual companion to the masses. The clip follows the iconic band doing what they do best, demonstrating their undeniable stage energy much to the delight of the attending audience. Following from the recent success of Nike’s Flyknit collection – which has just welcomed another member, the Flyknit Lunar1+ - Cineastas have produced a short film on Mike Friton a freelance shoemaker, weaver, paper sculptor and innovator who has over 30 years experience. His crafts all inform one another, and his work is a perfect example of how non-traditional methods of exploring one’s craft can lead to great and unique things.
