As he opens day one of the FADER Fort at SXSW this afternoon, Casey Veggies brings us some new visuals from his recent Life Changes mixtape. Directed by regular TDE collaborator Jerome D, the “Faces” flick finds Young Peas & Carrots reciting his rhymes in a studio while documenting his romantic subplot, all through some clean, black-and-white shots. Enjoy.
Another classy number from the German motoring giants. The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG boasts a 2 liter turbo charged engine capable of generating 360 hp that will do nought to 60 in 4.5 seconds, tailing off at 155 mph. A sporty five door hatchback, it incorporates the A-Class' suspension and steering systems and funky black wheels with contrasting red brake calipers. Kudos Mercedes. Again.
Our friend Corey Shapiro, stylist to the hip hop stars and the man in charge at the Vintage Frames Company, shares some morning inspiration from the wheel of his Gucci Cadillac for those in need. "Passengers are riders. They enjoy riding a wave, being part of a movement, but rarely take control of their wheel," states Shapiro. Take this in above, you’ll be glad you did. Enjoy.
Lob City continues to terrorize the NBA when it comes to ridiculous dunks. This time around Jamal Crawford serves up a between-the-legs pass to teammate Blake Griffin, who does what he does, and just throws it down emphatically. Enjoy.
A warning to girls who end up hooking up with men wearing Google Glass. When everyone has Glass, we’re never going to get anything done. Seriously though it’s kinda creepy how this is coming true. Enjoy.
The Hangover series can be partially credited as responsible for legions of twenty-something males upping their partying ante in the hopes that their substance-fueled escapades might too be the basis of a blockbuster bro-comedy. Wolf Pack loyalists will be ecstatic to know that the third (and final) installment is being released, with the teaser being unveiled today. The short clip glosses over the plot, finding Phil, Stu, Alan and company returning to Las Vegas for what looks like a no-holds-barred finale. Befittingly, a Wolfmother tune sets the backdrop for the teaser trailer. Enjoy the above and look for the film to hit theaters on May 27th.
With Oz The Great & Powerful hitting theaters today, Mariah Carey sees some camera time herself in the new video to Almost Home, her single from the movie’s accompanying soundtrack. The black-and-white clip pairs shots of the ever-elegant singer with scenes from the Disney flick. Ms. Carey is currently working on her upcoming 14th studio album, which she recently announced will feature collaborations with Jermaine Dupri, The-Dream and Hit-Boy (among many more, we imagine). Enjoy.
The OCDock is a slick and highly capable docking station designed for iMac and Thunderbolt display owners with a unique paper-thin cable running underneath the display creating a clutter-free workspace. The minimalist yet highly functional design offers a refreshing alternative for the myriad one-shoe-fits-all docking stations that often have to invent the problems they attempt to solve. CNC-machined from a solid piece of high-grade aluminum, the sleek and stylish dock is available in two sizes: a smaller version for $75 USD that is designed to fit naked iPhones with slim cases, and a larger dock for $79 USD with three interchangeable silicone supports for naked iPhones, slimmer cases and larger cases.
I'm not even sure you can pull this off in NBA 2K13. Dribble out of a double-team, go behind your back, cross back for the stepback jumper and drain it. J.R. Smith is clearly feeling it tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder last night. He even had it going with the handle. Just ask Thabo Sefolosha who was turned inside-out by Smith's superhuman behind-the-back crossover. Enjoy.
