Kobe Bryant wants Dwight Howard back in Los Angeles with the Lakers next season. Even though Howard struggled at times last year, the Black Mamba still wants him in his corner. So he's planning on talking to Howard this summer when he becomes a free agent."For me, you kind of let him do his due diligence and then move in and talk to him and figure out if this is a place he wants to be," Bryant told ESPN Los Angeles during an interview yesterday. Chris Andersen's uncalled for flagrant foul one on Tyler Hansbrough stood out as one of the sour points of last night's Heat vs. Pacers game five. In fact, it stood out so much that he's now suspended for game six; the league has upgraded the shove to a flagrant two. The NBA also revoked the technical Andersen got for getting chippy with Hansbrough right after the foul. It definitely wasn't a good sign when commissioner David Stern told NBC Sports Radio earlier today that the shove deserved an ejection. Cheap shots doesn't fly with Stern, Birdman.

If there was any hope among the Oklahoma City Thunder fans that Russell Westbrook would "pull a Metta World Peace" and return less than two weeks after having surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, guess we could put that idea to rest. According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the doctors involved opted the repair, instead of removing, which "requires a longer recovery time but also is a better long-term solution" and as a result, Russ will miss the rest of the playoffs. A specific timetable for Westbrook's return is uncertain at the moment. [Watch More]

Kobe Bryant will now deprive the entire world of the best part of current Lakers games: his tweets. The game of football is full of big, jacked-up dudes. So, could there possibly be such a thing as being too brolic? Apparently so. Talk about adding insult to injury. Earlier this week, LeBron James was asked about the crazy dunk that he threw down over Jason Terry the other night. And, he came right out and admitted that he was glad that Jet was on the receiving end of his vicious dunk. "I've had a chance to [review] it and it was one of my better ones," he said. "The fact that it happened to J.T. made it that much sweeter. Because we all know J.T. and he talks too much sometimes… I'm glad it happened to him." Damn, Bron. Way to throw dirt on the guy's grave.
