Behind-the-scenes footage of the construction of an anamatronic version of Jay-Z, which Nas was planning to lynch onstage during a live show, has surfaced online. At the height of the New York icons' turn-of-the-millennium beef, Nas commissioned special effects expert Michael Burnett to build a robot Hova that would be strung up and hung during the rapper's Summer Jam concert set in 2002. Nasty Nas infamously ended up boycotting the show after Hot 97 management prevented him from playing out the scene on stage, but it was never revealed how detailed plans for the mock lynching were. The new video shows Burnett making an ultra-realistic silicon Jay-Z face mask for the robot skeleton - which was programmed to twitch while being hung. Enjoy.
