Tech: The New Droid RAZR Drops Today

Motorola was trying to tease the unveiling of its widely speculated-about new Droid phone via this teaser site, but some enterprising folks at Droid Life went ahead and killed the fun.

The above press photo, which clearly shows the front, back and side of the phone, was found hidden in the page code. [Watch & Read More]

The new Droid RAZR is a resurrection of sorts for Moto's famed RAZR line of (flip) phones, which dominated the mobile market for years before the iPhone came along. It will be announced officially at a special Motorola and Verizon press event today.

Here are some specs on the phone that have leaked so far:

  • First-of-its-kind 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED Display
  • Gorilla Glass front, Kevlar back
  • 4G LTE
  • 1.2 Ghz Dual Core processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 8 MP camera
  • 1080p HD video
