Now the most decorated Olympian of all time with the addition of four golds and two silvers at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, celebrated American swimmer Michael Phelps has been tapped by Louis Vuitton for its latest ad campaign. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the Parisian luxury label, the 27-year-old 18-time gold medal-winner is seen wearing a Speedo and goggles in a bathtub with a Louis Vuitton monogram tote nearby. Additional imagery from the shoot sees Phelps depicted alongside former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina – whose 48-year-old record of 18 Olympic medals was surpassed by Phelps with gold in the men’s 4x200m freestyle team relay.

With a silver and a gold today (no, not tonight, the world is round although NBC Sports might not know this) Michael Phelps picked up his 18th and 19th Olympic medals, becoming the most decorated athlete in the history of the Summer Games.
