Style: Nudie Jeans Organic PIMA Selvage

Nudie Jeans continues on a path of establishing itself as a major denim player through a new release that pairs organic Pima cotton with traditional Japanese shuttle looms and Italian manufacturing. While environmental footprint wasn’t at the top of the list, the Scandinavian brand looked to create one of its highest quality offering yet. At the heart of the 13.5 oz jean is the organic premium Pima cotton sourced from a small scale farm in New Mexico, USA. The streaky fabric comes courtesy of the long fibers of cotton with a selvage finish. A limited run of 480 pairs are each individually numbered and come in a commemorative box. The jeans will be available exclusively online and at concept stores worldwide.

Style: mastermind JAPAN 2013 Denim Collection

Though the horse has been long beaten for originality in jeans, mastermind JAPAN‘s Spring/Summer 2013 releases bring a refreshing, though unpretentious, take on denim with their new collection. The theme of the collection is “dreaming,” and as such, head designer Masaaki Honma has imaginatively decorated eight fits of mastermind’s line with the brand’s skull logo on each pairs’ left thigh and right ankle. Where a lot of jacquard denim is printed all over, this offering takes to select areas of the pant, giving it a distinct look without overwhelming the garment. Look for mastermind JAPAN’s 2013 spring/summer denim collection on the brand’s website, or at select global retailers.

Videos: Levi's Makes Jeans From Garbage
That’s the motto for Levi’s new WasteLess denim. Each pair of jeans is made from 20% post-consumer recycled products and the overall line for the season will reuse 3.5 million recycled bottles. If that doesn’t make you want to recycle then I don’t know what will. Enjoy.

Style: Gustin Hand-Crafted Selvedge Denim

Gustin Denim is high quality stuff, but at a low price. This is thanks to their new method of buying jeans–crowdsourcing. By allowing you, the consumer, to fund which styles you want, they make sure the unpopular styles go unfunded and they don’t spend time making something nobody will want. The jeans will be handmade in San Francisco, and will feature the same features you'd expect from a luxury pair, including leather patches, tucked beltloops, selvage side seams and flies, chainstitched waistbands, and custom shaped and finished hardware. They have already raised $251,043 on Kickstarter in the past month, amazing! Checkout our exclusive interview with co-founder Stephen Powell from Gustin after the jump. [See & Read More]
